Never Stop Growing Values
Who we are at Never Give Up speaks for itself in our core values. We named our core values the Never Stop Growing Values in order to encourage personal growth and change. We should be consistently moving towards excellence to become a better version of ourselves.
Being humbly confident is so important in how we interact with one another both in our personal and professional life.
It’s an ability to appear confident without arrogance, to be self-effacing while still projecting strength and competence. We call this special quality humble confidence.
Humble confidence empowers others rather than overshadowing them. It’s not “my way or the highway,” it’s collaborative. The ability to receive constructive feedback without taking defense or being closed minded.
We all have specific roles within the company and can lose ourselves within those roles, building kingdoms and silos. We work to break down kingdoms and silos by being observant of everyone’s role and the state of the company.
By doing so, we can be ready to help on the spot when we see the need. Being the first to help shows those around you and the company your level of commitment. We seek to develop an “I” approach. By revising JFK’s historic statement, we get, “Ask not what the company can do for me, but what can I do for the company.” I See it, I Understand it, I Help it.
It’s essential that our conduct in our personal and professional life is morally right and above the standards of our profession. Our behaviors are the outward expression of our internal state.
Respect and trust is generated as a result of being ethically sound. Being ethical allows you to step away from selfish behaviors and put the overall well-being of others in the forefront of your actions.
Effective communication is as much about talking as it is about listening. Listening well means not just understanding the words or the information being communicated, but also understanding the emotions others are trying to communicate.
We need to learn to communicate not only so clearly that we’re understood but so clearly that we’re not misunderstood.
The culture of discipline requires duality; It requires people to adhere to a consistent system and framework of responsibilities and it gives freedom and responsibility within that system.
When you are disciplined in thought and action it will result in personal and professional breakthroughs contributing to company strengths and growth. The fact is that we are all not created with the same talents and abilities so we all have a different set of skills. When we are personally disciplined in thought and action, sharpening our skills, talents, and ability, we will collectively generate momentum in one direction.
We strive to develop the spirit of ownership in the company’s work and appearance through each and every staff member.
Being accountable means standing by decisions, actions, and focusing on the overall well-being of the company.
It is critical to own our commitments to clear expectations, inspecting our work to ensure our commitments have been fulfilled. We must be open to receiving constructive feedback and accepting of consequences.
A true team member is focused on results, accountability, commitment, conflict resolution, and trust. Being a team member means not participating in gossip and facilitating positive conversations.
A good team member provides some unique skills and/or knowledge that moves the team forward while trusting, supporting, and having a genuine concern for other team members.
